Where are you located?
I live in Calgary, Alberta but I mostly shoot in the Rockies as they are my backyard. I love to travel (I used to be a Flight Attendant) and adore that photography can take me anywhere around the world. I've travelled to 14 countries and counting. Where are we going next?!
Do you shoot destination weddings?
100%! My absolute favourite are destination elopements. Wherever your love takes you, I'm there. To a waterfall in Iceland, or hiking a mountainous lookout, perhaps a helicopter ride to an isolated mountain peak, or a gorgeous field at sunset. I thrive when adventuring so I will gladly be your hype woman as we explore somewhere new together.
How do I confirm my wedding date?
To book your wedding with me I require a signed agreement, as well as a $1000 deposit in order to reserve your date. Then it's official baby!
Will there be a second shooter?
My packages don't include a second shooter. However, I am more than comfortable capturing your entire day on my own! If you prefer to have a second shooter, I can definitely arrange one for you.
How many photos will I receive from my wedding?
A good rule of thumb is approximately 40-50 photos per hour of photography coverage, typically around 400-500 photos for an 8 hour wedding day. It's all about quality over quantity!
How long until I receive my photos?
You will receive your edited photos via online gallery within 60 days of your wedding date. I try to get them done ASAP so you can admire your beautiful photos sooner.
What kind of gear do you use?
I'm a Nikon gal! I shoot with two D750's with different lenses to cover a wide focal range.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You definitely do not have to, but I do recommend it. Included in my sessions are the high-res files as well as a print release. Having a physical wedding album from your day is a beautiful way to relive your memories, and to enjoy your pictures they way they're intended to be: in glorious print. I recommend professional printing shops always but especially for those larger art pieces to hang on your wall. It's a quality you can't dispute.
Do you have your photography mountain permits as well as insurance?
Yes, I do! All professional photographers are required to have the proper photography permits to shoot in the Provincial + National Parks, please ensure your photographer has them. These costs are paid for by me and are already factored into my pricing.
I also am a legal business and therefore I am insured to ensure everyone is covered, just in case.
